Event Details
A Portfolio Review can help you take your photographic work to the next level.

Glazers is proud to host this special 2-day, online portfolio review with Dennis Keeley.

All bodies of work begin with the first picture. Then it might turn into a project and could become part of your website or a fine art portfolio of images.

We make pictures for ourselves, but also to be seen by others. It is in sharing with others that you can begin to see how your process is working and how you might refine your practice.

In this world of thinking and making pictures, a very famous baseball player and philosopher named Yogi Berra once said, “When you get to a fork in the road, take it.”

Mr. Keeley was the Chair of the Photography and Imaging program at Art Center College of Design for almost two decades. He also worked for the J. Paul Getty Center’s Conservation Institute for twenty-five years and made thousands of portraits of musicians for their projects and publications. He has Art in both museums and private collections and has been a reviewer at the Society for Photo Education, the Palm Springs Photo Festival, and the Los Angeles Center for Photography.

How the Portfolio Review will work

Dennis is prepared to review and discuss a special picture you’ve made, a body of work in progress, your website, or a finished portfolio.

He will spend about twenty minutes with each person via a zoom session.

Attendees will submit the work to be reviewed a week before the review along with any accompanying support materials. This may be a link to the work on your own website, or a dropbox link to upload specific images you want to have reviewed.

Registered attendees will receive a follow-up email to share the work they want to have reviewed with Dennis.

The Benefits of a Portfolio Review

You will learn how valuable a professional response can be to your process, practice and help you make progress in defining, refining, and reaching your specific goals.

Mr. Keeley’s teaching philosophy is centered on your individualized learning, not just one method of instruction.
