Event Details

Join us for an evening in which we Celebrate SLU with a special presentation from MOHAI reflecting on the past 20 years and looking ahead to the next 20. 

Celebrate SLU brings together over 250 people from diverse industries and backgrounds to celebrate this great neighborhood we live & work in. This event was established in 2008 by the SLU Chamber to recognize organizations and companies that contribute in a meaningful way to the improvement and success of our community. Connect with your community and join us to celebrate!

Winners are selected by popular vote. Nominees must demonstrate meaningful contribution to the South Lake Union community. The top three nominees in each category are featured in the event program where we learn about and celebrate the great work they are doing. WINNERS ANNOUNCED LIVE!

MARTY HARTMAN, Mary’s Place Executive Director

We are honored to have Marty join us to celebrate SLU businesses and organizations that make our community great. Since 1999, Marty has been dedicated to helping women, children and families who are experiencing homelessness reclaim their lives. Mary’s Place manages 8 shelters with more than 680 beds. In 2020, their new facility opens in an Amazon building. In 2018, Marty was recognized by Puget Sound Business Journal's Women of Influence. Marty also advocates for homeless family policy change in Seattle and King County. Mary’s Place is a SLU neighbor, a partner to many SLU businesses and a lifeline to many families.
