Event Details
MOHAI is excited to announce Brittney Frantece as their first annual Curator's Fellow. The Curator's Fellowship invites community and academic historians to bring a new perspective to MOHAI's extensive collections.
Brittney will analyze photographs in the Al Smith Collection, which tell the story of Seattle's Black community in the mid-twentieth century, for how they demonstrate Black worldbuilding in Seattle. She will then connect these works to contemporary artists continuing the legacy of imagining alterative ways of being and knowing across the US.
Cost: $10 MOHAI Members / $30 General Public (includes museum admission)
