Event Details

Plant Camp is a place to spark creativity by combining art and nature into a fun 30-minute activity.

Every other Wednesday, South Lake Union partners with Urban Craft Uprising and the Amazon Horticulture Team to find the intersection of these two mediums, which have positive impacts on your mental health, like increasing productivity and decreasing mental fatigue.

The 2022 season features eight bi-weekly events where participants will create takeaways such as a terraria, herb gardens, and more.

In this event, participants will use pressed plants that are native to the Pacific Northwest, such as ferns, to create beautiful print art. Send it as a card, hang it in a frame or press it in your favorite book to find later. Learn from the Amazon Horticulture Team how pressed plants are used in horticulture to study plant characteristics for years after the plant is preserved.

All are welcome! Walk up spots are available every half hour beginning at 10 AM.
